The BEAM Foundation Receives Argosy Grant

The BEAM Foundation received a significant grant from the Argosy Foundation Contemporary Music Fund. BEAM promotes a new style of music called "NuRoque" that is based on networked enhanced instruments and live video interaction.

The objective of the Argosy Foundation Contemporary Music Fund is to promote the proliferation and awareness of contemporary classical or "non-pop" music. Contemporary music is defined as concert music intended for concentrated listening that has been composed within the last twenty years.

The funds will be used to support TrioMetrik's performance season through June 2007.
